Synopsis

waanzinnig goed, ik kon het niet wegleggen en heb het in één dag uitgelezen! een absolute must 2 februari 2012
Voor mij gaat het boek niet zo lang terug in de tijd, nl. 1962. Het is een verhaal dat je bijblijft, vrouwen met vrouwen, dienstboden en hun Missus. Nigra's en blanken waarvan de eersten als minderwaardig beschouwd werden. Het eerste boek van deze schrijfster verhaalt uitstekend hoe het er aan toeging in Mississippi. Het plot brengt ook spanning en het is moeilijk opzij te leggen. Aanbevolen 10 mei 2011
